The Giving Tree is a community service Recognized Student Organization that focuses on increasing awareness within the student body on issues of hunger and homelessness. We hope that through activism and projects we will be able to reach more students on campus and better fulfill our mission.

Mission Statement:
To raise awareness and action in the University community about issues of hunger and homelessness. We work to achieve this by incorporating service, education, social activism, and outreach through:
1. regular, committed, and direct involvement with local service organizations
2. ongoing information dissemination over The Giving Tree listhost
3. quarterly events

How you can help:
There are several ways you can get involved in the Giving Tree.

  • We arrange weekly service trips to Chicago organizations and new volunteers are always welcome.
  • We also plan university-wide events each quarter to promote awareness of hunger and homelessness issues on campus.
  • Subscribe to our mailing list to receive information about our weekly trips and ways you can help plan upcoming activities.
